Getting to Bangkok

Bangkok has two international airports. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) handles most long-haul and full-service carriers; Don Mueang (DMK) serves low-cost airlines such as AirAsia, Thai Lion and Nok Air. From BKK, the Airport Rail Link reaches Phaya Thai in about 26 minutes; a Grab to Sukhumvit takes 40–60 minutes depending on traffic.

December is high season. Book flights and hotels at least eight weeks out, fares climb sharply from mid-November, and the first week of December includes a Thai public holiday weekend.

Where to stay

Pick the neighbourhood first, then the hotel. Anything on the BTS or MRT keeps you within twenty minutes of the summit venue.

Sukhumvit (Asok / Phrom Phong)

The default choice for business visitors. On the BTS and MRT, packed with cafés, coworking and restaurants. Best mix of price and convenience.

Silom / Sathorn

Bangkok's business district. Quieter at weekends, quick riverside access, strong hotel value and easy transport to anywhere.

Riverside (Charoen Krung)

Best for a longer stay. Heritage buildings, river ferries and the city's nicest hotels, slightly slower to reach the centre.

Ari

Local, leafy and café-dense. Great if you want to work mornings and explore evenings without tourist crowds.

Getting around the city

  • BTS Skytrain & MRT: fastest and cheapest option for central Bangkok. Buy a stored-value Rabbit card on arrival.
  • Grab: the ride-hailing default. Fixed prices, no haggling, works for food delivery too.
  • Chao Phraya river boats: the scenic and quickest route to the Grand Palace and old town.
  • Walking: workable inside a neighbourhood, less so between them, use the elevated walkways where they exist.

A suggested itinerary

  1. Day before, Friday 4 December

Land, get a local SIM or eSIM at the airport, and take the Airport Rail Link or a Grab into town. Ease in with a riverside dinner and an early night, the summit starts at 9:30 AM.

  2. Summit day, Saturday 5 December

Nine hours of workshops, masterminds and networking, finishing with drinks from 6:00 PM. Bring a laptop and a charger; every session is build-along.

  3. Day after, Sunday 6 December

Grand Palace and Wat Pho in the morning, Chatuchak Weekend Market or a Chao Phraya river ferry in the afternoon, rooftop bar to close.

  4. Extend the trip

December is peak season across Thailand. Add two or three nights in Chiang Mai, Phuket or Krabi, domestic flights are short and inexpensive.
